The Avandra story
Club Avandra was born, as so many female movements, of friendship.
Two well-travelled friends, approaching midlife with a renewed wanderlust, as their husband’s was on the wane. Friends who were fed up of sub-optimal travel experiences, even in the most upscale hotels.
Friends who agreed they want travel companions who will uplift and enhance their experience, not detract from it. Who want to travel on their own terms, with style and without compromise.
And so Club Avandra was created – and named for the goddess of freedom, travel and adventure.
We don’t just run Club Avandra – we are Club Avandra.

Club Avandra is led by experts in luxury travel, in communications and in female lifestyle trends.
Quite simply, we are our own target audience.

A multi award winning journalist and former Editor of the Telegraph Magazine, The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella Magazine and deputy of Grazia. Currently joint features director of YOU Magazine, Marianne is a regular panel moderator for brands and literary events and was one half of the no 1 podcast Been There Done That Got the Podcast. She has written extensively about travel for national newspapers and magazines.
As a delighted empty nester, Marianne is now ready for a bucket list of upmarket solo adventures.
Debbie Flynn
Chair of Advisory Board & investor
With over 40 years of experience in the travel sector and global communications, Debbie is passionate about international travel. Not only does she travel widely for work and pleasure, the two often combine – take her role as Chair of the Anglo Jordanian Society, for example. When she’s not dashing around South West London she can often be found with her husband, boys and dogs at their villa in Spain. Debbie’s recipe for the perfect trip is sunshine, culture, family, friends and fun – with sustainability as important as luxury. And

Enthusiastic, energetic and international to the core, Daniela has worked in global travel and tourism organisations for over four decades, connecting people and businesses. She spends her life between trhe US and France with frequent trips to the UK, Asia and the Middle East.
