Jo Elvin is one of the UK’s best-known journalists. As editor of Glamour magazine for 17 years, she launched a title with a new kind of voice and format that defined an age and a generation of young women, and went on to launch the annual star-studded Glamour Awards. As Editor of You magazine for four years, she brought her expert take on fashion, beauty and lifestyle to thousands more women every week.
Previously, Jo worked on teen publication Dolly in her native Australia and also worked as a publicist on long-running soap Neighbours before moving to London. She helped launch Sugar and B magazines and then became editor of New Woman in 1998.
Now, she’s a regular on our TV screens, notably as fashion consultant for Lorraine, and writes for titles including The Times and the Sunday Times, the Telegraph and her Substack ‘My Goodness’. She’s also often on social media showcasing her style via [hashtag]clothesmyhusbandhates.
