When your evening involves the comedy writer Kathy Lette, a room full of engaged women plus glasses of chilled Taittinger champagne, there can only be one outcome: a riot.
Our latest Club Avandra membership event took place on a balmy summer’s night at the coolest of venues – the luxury Pan Pacific Hotel London, a sanctuary in the city’s Square Mile.
Kathy had the room in raucous laughter, as she spoke to journalist and Club Avandra’s Lifestyle Director Marianne Jones about her latest novel, The Sisterhood Rules.Â
She covered everything from feminism to geo-politics, with a healthy dollop of sex talk (what was said in the room stays in the room) from which the lone male photographer may never recover.
It is so cheering to see our Club Avandra members getting to know each other with every new event – a real sisterhood to rival Kathy’s fiction. And we would love to grow this supportive community.
